ABOUT MARIE CLEAR

Marie Clear graduated cum laude from Chicago's John Marshall Law School in 2002 and started her own law firm shortly after. Today, her practice focuses exclusively on real estate law, helping clients with a wide variety of real estate matters, such as residential and commercial closings, short sales, lease drafting, and other transactional real estate needs. 

 

Publications:   In 2000, Marie published the article Falling into the Gap: The European Union's Data Protection Act and its Impact on U.S. Law and Commerce, for the John Marshall Journal of Computer & Information Law.

Honors:   Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, John Marshall Law School, Executive Board Editor, The John Marshall Journal of Computer and Information Law, Spring, Summer, and Fall 2000.  From 2001 to 2004 she served as an editor for the legal textbooks Commercial Real Estate Transactions (Lexis Publishing, 2001), and Residential Real Estate Law (Carolina Academic Press, 2004).

Prior to launching her legal career, Marie had risen to Business Development Director for one of the largest technology consulting firms in the Chicago-land area.

 

Her experience negotiating projects and contracts with major corporate clients, managing more than sixty employees, and developing new business opportunities, gave her the foundation she needed to start a successful law practice.

 

Her extensive hands-on consulting and management experience has instilled in her an uncompromising sense of customer care.
